Weston Estate Landscape

Our clients at this Weston estate asked IDDLA to reenvision the visual and physical connection between the residence and the pool/pool house area. In achieving this solution we reconsidered the scale of the existing terrace adjoining the house and augmented it in both width and length. Built-in planters with a matched pair of Japanese maples modulate the length of this grand terrace. To reorient circulation to the pool complex we added a rounded, lower terrace with steps leading to a lawn stepper path.

At the pool we supported this connectivity by enhancing this welcoming destination and enlarging the pool deck. We added a new grill station and carved out a designated dining niche. In keeping with the material palette of the existing pool, we stabilized the surrounding slopes with boulders sourced from the property.
